You Were Not
The First
You arrive at Harrow Point Lighthouse to replace a keeper who simply… vanished. No body. No farewell. Just a logbook, a dying generator, and the ocean stretching endlessly into black fog.
The locals won't say what lives out there. They just say: keep the light burning. No matter what you hear. No matter what you see. Whatever you do — don't let it go dark.
But fuel runs low. The island holds secrets. And something in the fog has been waiting a very long time for the light to finally fail.
"Day 3. Found scratches on the lower rocks. Not from boats. Too deliberate. Too uniform."
"Day 7. Heard it again. Low. Like something breathing beneath the water. The light flickered at 3am. I didn't sleep."
"Day 12. DO NOT LET THE LIGHT GO OUT. It knows when the beam goes dark. It's been waiting. God help whoever reads this."
